Rino Trolio is the Head of Treatment & Resource Recovery at Water Corporation, responsible for the safe and reliable operation of critical water and wastewater assets across Western Australia, including infrastructure interfacing with bulk water supply systems and dam operations.

With over 20 years’ experience in complex infrastructure and operational environments, Rino has a strong focus on the management of high consequence assets, operational risk, and system resilience. His portfolio includes oversight of large-scale treatment facilities, desalination plants, and integrated water supply systems that rely on the performance and integrity of upstream storage and conveyance assets.

Rino plays a key leadership role in major capital programs and long-term asset planning, supporting the delivery of resilient water services in a changing climate. He is a committed safety leader, championing risk-based decision making, robust governance, and strong operational discipline across essential infrastructure.

Through his work, Rino is focused on delivering safe, reliable and resilient water services, supporting the long-term sustainability of critical infrastructure in the face of growing demand and climate variability.

Michael has over 25 years experience in Dam Engineering roles. His career has included roles in engineering consultancies in Australia and England as well as at a Dam Owner. Currently Senior Principal Engineer, Dams and Dam Safety at Water Corporation, Michael’s role covers a wide range of functions at a dam owner from design of works, dam safety management, risk management and dam safety training. Training, development and knowledge transfer in the industry are among his interests. Michael has previously been a board member of multiple community organisations, been ANCOLD’s Treasurer (2015-2017) and is currently ANCOLD’s elected Director.
