CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
If ANCOLD is prevented from carrying out its obligations towards the forum you registered for, as a result of any cause beyond its control, such as acts of God, strikes, labour disputes, government travel restrictions, unavailability of hotel or facility, commodities or supplies, war or apparent act of war, terrorism, disaster, civil disorder, epidemic or pandemic, curtailment or restriction on transportation facilities, or any form of comparable natural calamity, casualty or condition (collectively a “Force Majeure”), ANCOLD shall have the right to immediately terminate/cancel or postpone the affected forum without liability and shall be relieved of its obligations to the registrant.
CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT BY THE ORGANISERS
In the event of a full cancellation of the ANCOLD 2020 Tailings Dam Operators Forum in Queensland by the organisers, all registration and social function fees will be refunded in full, or if the event is postponed you will have the option to carry over your registration to the new dates.
CANCELLING YOUR FORUM REGISTRATION
If you are cancelling any or all aspects of your booking: registration, and/or a tour, this can be done with one correspondence to Leishman Associates.
Cancellations postmarked on or before, 30 Days before the forum, will not incur a penalty.
Cancellations within 30 days of the forum will be subject to cancellation fee of 100% of their registration cost, however substitutions may be accepted.
Non-payment of registration does not constitute cancellation of registration or additional activities.
Cancellations made by the delegate must be received in writing – mail, email– to Leishman Associates. Cancellations will not be deemed to be received until you have written confirmation from Leishman Associates. If you have not received acknowledgement within two business days, please contact the Forum Managers – Leishman Associates on (03) 6234 7844.
INSURANCE RECOMMENDATION
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is recommended that participants take out their own general travel insurance. It is suggested that the insurance policy should also cover loss of fees/deposit, airfares, accommodation charges, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property and repatriation expenses. The insurance should cover loss arising from the cancellation of the forum by the organisers or a person’s inability to attend due to any reason whatsoever. No responsibility is taken by the forum managers for any person not holding insurance.
It is highly recommended that you take out travel insurance to cover any loss relating to your inability to attend the event. Please check with your insurer on the full terms and conditions of the policy.
Various components of this event are being handled by Leishman Associates, a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO). Accommodation - Cancellation Policy
Any accommodation bookings made for the event via the WOTIF link provided have been made by the delegate personally, Leishman Associates and ANCOLD take no responsibility for accommodation bookings made by delegates through their chosen channels.
Sponsorship/Exhibition Cancellation Policy
If ANCOLD is prevented from carrying out its obligations towards the conference you booked exhibition/sponsorship for, as a result of any cause beyond its control, such as acts of God, strikes, labour disputes, government travel restrictions, unavailability of hotel or facility, commodities or supplies, war or apparent act of war, terrorism, disaster, civil disorder, epidemic or pandemic, curtailment or restriction on transportation facilities, or any form of comparable natural calamity, casualty or condition (collectively a “Force Majeure”), ANCOLD shall have the right to immediately terminate/cancel or postpone the affected conference without liability and shall be relieved of its obligations to the registrant.
CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT BY ANCOLD
In the event of a full cancellation of the ANCOLD 2020 Tailings Dam Operators Forum in QLD by the Host Organisation, all exhibition/sponsorship fees will be refunded in full, or if the event is postponed you will have the option to carry over to the new dates.
CANCELLATION OF SPONSORSHIP OR EXHIBITIONS BOOKING BY THE SPONSOR
In the event that You cancel your exhibition/sponsorship package on or before 30 days of the event, cancellations postmarked on or before, 30 Days before the conference will not incur a penalty and monies paid, less the 50% deposit, will be refunded back to the nominated bank account. If the cancellation by You on or before 30 days of the event is related to COVID-19, i.e. your company policy at the time or government travel restrictions, then the deposit will also be refunded.
In the event that You cancel within 30 days of the Event, You will not receive any refund. Any monies outstanding at cancellation will need to be paid in full.

Where is the forum venue?
The forum will be held at Oaks Grand Hotel, 79 Goondoon St, Gladstone Central QLD 4680.
Is there parking available?
Parking at Oaks Grand Hotel Gladstone is free of charge.
How do I get to and from forum venue?
The Gladstone Region is located on the Southern Great Barrier Reef on the Queensland Central Coast and is intersected by a number of major Australian highways. The Bruce Highway provides many access points to seaside and country locations within the Gladstone Region.
Travelling North
The Gladstone Region starts approximately 450 kilometres north of Brisbane, with several key access points off the Bruce Highway. Turn off at Miriam Vale for the picturesque Discovery Coast, at the Boyne/Tannum intersection for the seaside communities of Boyne Island and Tannum Sands, or at Benaraby for the city of Gladstone.
Travelling South
From Mackay it is about five and a half hours drive, and only one hours drive from Rockhampton. Turn off at Mt Larcom to venture into Gladstone, or continue along the Highway for exits to Boyne Island, Tannum Sands and the Discovery Coast. Turn right into Calliope for your exit the Gladstone’s hinterland, the Banana Shire.
Port Curtis Way
This is Highway 58 through Gladstone, between Benaraby to the south and Mt Larcom to the north. The diversion adds just 6 kilometres to the coastal drive.
Inland Highways
Travelling north along The Country Way you will arrive at Biloela, the hubs Banana Shire respectively. Turn right at Biloela and enjoy the natural splendour of Gorges Way. For those taking a journey north along the Leichhardt Highway, enter the Gladstone Region through the Dawson Valley, south of the township of Theodore and take in the stunning scenery the hinterland has to offer.

Is there security at the forum?
Delegates will be provided with an individual name badge, which will give you access to all sessions and social events that you have registered to attend. This must be worn at all times within the forum venue.
The members of the forum organising committee and Leishman Associates accept no liability for personal accident of loss or damage suffered by any participant, accompanying person, invited observer or any other person by whatever means. Nor do we accept liability for any equipment or software brought to the forum by delegates, speakers, sponsors or any other party. Please protect your personal property. Do not leave laptops, cameras, and other valuable items unsecured.
Be conscious of individuals who appear out of place and do not wear a forum name badge. Advise Leishman Associates staff if this occurs.
What is the dress code for the forum?
The forum dress code is Smart Casual.
What PPE is required for the Site Visit?
You will be required to bring PPE gear with you for the site tours. The PPE required is as follows:
- Safety boots (not necessary to be steel top cap)
- Long sleeve shirt and long pants
- Safety glasses
- A hat (a hard hat is not required but a hat/cap for sun protection).
All attendees to the tours will also be required to have their temperature taken; undertake a swab test and will be required to download the Qld Safe App for QR scanning into the site.

Forum Fee Only Registration entitles delegates to the following:

Tour Only Registration only includes the tour held on 11 September 2020.
How do I gain entry to the forum sessions?
It is suggested that delegates arrive at preferred sessions promptly to ensure a seat. If sessions become full then delegates will not be allowed entry. Please wear your name tag for entry into all sessions.
As we need to be wary of social distancing as a result of coronavirus, measures will be taken to ensure safety for all.
How do I know if there have been any changes to the program?
Any changes to the forum program will be announced during housekeeping notices each morning during the first plenary session. You may also check with Leishman Associates staff at the registration desk.
How do I know if I am registered for the social functions?
Your attendance to these functions is required to be confirmed during the online registration process.

How do I gain entry to the Forum Dinner?
All delegates and accompanying partners will be provided with a name badge, which will give you access to all events that you have purchased. Please ensure you bring along your name badge.
Can I bring my partner along?
Yes, you may, at an additional cost. Additional guest tickets can be booked when you register online, or through the Leishman Associates office. Bookings can be made at the forum but will be subject to availability.
I have special dietary requirements – what do I do?
You must advise the forum managers of any special dietary requirements when you register for the forum. Caterers at each function will be informed of these. During the day, there will be a buffet table offering food suitable for dietary requirements. If you are unsure, please don’t hesitate to ask staff at the registration desk.
IMPORTANT – If your dietary request relates to a life-threatening allergy, please ensure that you advise the organisers as soon as possible.

Can I photograph or record the forum sessions?
Delegates are not permitted to use any type of camera or recording device at any of the sessions unless written permission has been obtained from the relevant speaker & Forum Managers. By registering for this forum, you consent to having your photo taken and used for promotional purposes. This may include Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Website & Email Marketing. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please advise the Registration Desk or let the photographer know.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights of the event, and all materials distributed at or in connection with the event is owned by the Host, Leishman Associates, Sponsors, &/or Speakers presenting at the event. Participants may not use, reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any trademarks or other trade names appearing at the conference, content, or in any materials distributed at or in connection with the Conference for any reason without the prior written permission from the Host.
No part of the Conference may be recorded, reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronically or mechanically, including but not limited to video or audio recording, photography, photocopying or any other information storage or retrieval system known now or in the future, without the explicit written permission of the Host.
