Abstract: This keynote presentation will discuss why and how dam operators provide the critical linkage between water dams and the broader part dams play in serving our community, including their water supply, flood mitigation, recreation and other important benefits. It will share how operators have been integral to the effective response to past ‘extreme’ weather events, and seasons, in South East Queensland and will touch on the way they will play a key role in ensuring dams are able to adapt to a changing climate.
